HOW TO MEASURE
- Neck size is measured at the place where your dog's collar would naturally rest -- from about where the neck meets the chest to just above the withers and all the way around. Measure the dog’s neck with an allowance for 2 fingers to fit between the dog and the collar. The collar shouldn’t be so tight that it will cause discomfort or so loose that it slides over the dogs head. Foror martingale collar measure the head size -- the widest part of your dog’s head around the ears. If unsure how to measure use your old dog's classic collar and try to put it over dog's head without opening the buckle. The collar should get stuck around dog's ears -- that's where you measure all around the head.
- Chest size measurement is taken all the way around the biggest part of your dog's ribcage, generally just behind the withers down and around just behind the front legs and back up the other side to the withers. Measurement for front chest strap is taken from behind of one front leg (start from the line for chest size) around the front of the dog until you reach the line for the chest size on the other side. Be careful to measure just above the dog's shoulders and to add some space for a comfortable fit.
- 1 - Measure the volume around AC A is where the dog wither's is C is where dog's collarbones meet 2 - Measure the volume around DH H is 12-15 cm from A (depends on the size of the dog) D lies behind the ribcage 3 - Measure the lenght between CD Please take the exact measure, no need to add any extra space for a comfortable fit.
DISCLAIMER
Krdelo can’t be taken responsible for wrong measurements. When measuring a dog, always add at least 2 cm (1″) for dog’s comfort — a rule of thumb is to leave an allowance for two fingers to fit between the collar or harness and the dog for a comfortable fit.
